English Section

In the English part, you'll be tested on:

• Reading: You'll read short passages and answer questions about them
• Spelling: You'll identify correctly spelled words
• Punctuation: You'll show you know how to use periods, commas, and other punctuation marks
• Grammar: You'll identify correct grammar and word usage

Mathematics Section

In the Mathematics part, you'll be tested on:

• Numbers and calculations
• Shapes and measurements
• Problem solving
• Data and graphs

How You'll Be Tested

The test has different types of questions. For most questions, you'll select the best answer from multiple choices. For some questions, especially in the reading section, you'll need to write short answers. Don't worry - you won't need to write long paragraphs! Most written answers are just a word or a number.
